What can I say about my little Nar-baby? She's my second dog (sister to Starbuck from another litter), my first agility dog and my heart dog. She's taught me so much, always been there for me and has been so patient with me and put up with my crappy handling and saved my butt on the course countless times.

  1. Your videos are awesome! I just brought my new standard sized akk back from california to my home in Florida a month ago. He's now 13 weeks old. I want to do a great job training him and have been learning a lot. Do you have any advice for me since you said you made plenty of mistakes with your first pup :) (training/teaching that works best for the breed, etc.) I want to do everything right but realize that wont always happen. I may be interested in having him compete after I do a bit of research.

    1. Hi - so glad you enjoyed the videos! What breeder in CA did you get your AKK from? Mine came from Del Mar Klee Kai. I'd say the best advice I can give you is to have fun with all of the training. Stop a session if you ever start to feel frustrated. Don't train on a day when you just don't feel like it. I'd call it more of a learning experience instead of making mistakes :) And don't think of it as doing everything right - have fun!

Also - make sure that if you want to do agility you find a good instructor out there - one who has actually put agility titles on their dogs. Where in FL are you? There is an amazing training place called Rising Stars (I think that's the name...). It's run by the Mahs and they are amazing.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you are having a wonderful time with your new AKK!
