Snow Day in WI

We took the girls to WI for Christmas and they absolutely love snow! It was Alpha's first time seeing snow and she just wanted to eat it. We called her a little 'snowmower' because she would just walk with her mouth in the snow, eating snow as we went on a walk. Here is a group shot:

Here is little Alpha covered in snow:

Here is part of Nari's face. It was quite difficult to get pictures of them because they kept wanting to run and jump and eat snow.

And here is my favorite, Starbuck with her snow beard:

Merry Christmas

Well, I brought out the tree and decided to try and take some pictures of the girls, which is definitely not an easy task. Pretty hard to get three dogs to focus on one camera. Here are some of my favorites.

Here is Starbuck, smiling under the Christmas tree:

I saw the little gingerbread dog house and knew the girls would love it! It's so cute. Here is Starbuck in her new favorite spot:

And this is my attempt at getting all the girls in one picture, which was quite difficult and still didn't turn out that well:

Our second trial.

We went to our second agility trial - it was a UKC trial in Dayton, OH. I entered both of the girls in AGI and AGII. The great news is that Nari finished her UAGI title with a perfect score of 200 and a second place! So she is now UAGI PR' Del Mar's Lil Apocalypse! She also got two 3rd places (she went a little over time because she was so tired on Sunday so her scores that day were 188 and 185). Starbuck ran 1 AGI and got a 4th place with a 197. The AGII runs went well except we had a little trouble with weaving so no Q's for AGII. The weave pole base was quite odd so I am wondering if that threw them (and me) off. Hopefully as we continue to work on weaving the base shouldn't matter so much in the future. But I am very proud with how well they did with all of the new obstacles that they have not really seen before - there was the crawl tunnel, sway bridge, sway plank and pause box. They still had a lot of fun! Hopefully next time will be even better!

Here is a picture of our cheering section - Aaron and Alpha. Alpha loves to lay on Aaron's shoulders - it is so cute!

We finally love to weave! Thanks to Way to Weave!

We bought a set of the training weaves, ALL-WAYS Weaves from Way To Weave! (www.waytoweave.com) and we absolutely LOVE them. They are made in Knoxville, TN and were invented by our agility trainer, Ace. They are very high quality and really sturdy and easy to use. We just practiced with them a couple of times a week and now both Starbuck and Nari can weave! At least they can do it at home, we'll see how they do at a trial. Above is a picture of Nari weaving, I love how happy she looks whenever she is doing agility! She is such a hard worker.

Agility practice

Here are some photos from our recent agility practice. The first couple are Nari and Starbuck running the A-frame together. They love to race each other through the equipment.

And here are Starbuck and Nari doing the dog walk together. I love how it looks like Alpha is handling us in the first picture!

And here is Nari flying through the contact zone - yikes! She does that every once in a while, she's just so fast!

Outdoor fun

We just got a new fence in our yard and the girls love it! Here are some pictures of them enjoying the outdoors.
Here is one of my favorite pictures of Starbuck:

And here is one of Alpha:

I love this one of Alpha giving Nari a kiss:

Starbuck is chasing Nari with a crazy face!

Guard dogs!

Our girls like to pretend they are guard dogs. They always run to the front windows and alert us when someone walks past our house. It must be pretty funny to the people walking by to hear the barking coming from our house and then see the cutest little dogs watching them through the window.
